I always thought that kids today have an easier time getting things then when I was growing up. Parents tend to give them everything and anything they want so that they can have an easier time with them. Place them in front of the TV or give then a video-games to play etc.. I myself am guilty of doing such things, I find myself doing these things in part trying do be a fun loving parent and also so I can get some alone time and avoid any confrontations with them etc. Ever since my son’s birth four years ago, I have noticed what a child today in this fast paced society is lacking and that’s there will to go out and explore and work for something, which will give them that feeling of accomplishment by one’s own hands and hard work etc. I myself starting working at the age of ten, I was a paperboy & a grocery delivery boy. All so I can buy what I wanted without my father disapproving of it, because I worked for what I wanted and also he made sure that I understood nothing in life is easy. Anyway I finally understand what is the hardest thing about having this gift of life that God has bestowed to the human race and that’s being a parent.
