Today I finally came across some people that really made me think to myself and say that people are getting lazier by the minute and that human intelligence is really dropping by the waste basket. The reason I say a bold comment like that is that today I had 4 different kind of clients come in with their newly purchased laptop saying that it was broken and that they couldn’t get it working. It took me 2 minutes to get it up and running, not because I consider my self smart in any way but that I can take a minute and just by plain logic and deduction see what the problem was and see that they placed the computer on sleep mode. My pet peeve is that if they just looked at there 5 page manual of trouble shooting for two seconds they would see that it’s clearly explained with pictures and all and also what really kills me is the way they got the computer into this point! Which is, that not one of them knew how to log off a computer correctly.The way they turn the systems off was with the physical off button and not by windows shut down. At work we joke around allot about idiotic people, saying to each other that there better off buying a toaster! and they should forget about anything that need a bit of effort to use. Sometimes I think back to my college years, where I had one particular teacher in my engineering class that would say to me each time I asked for some help on solving a problem. He would say to me in plain and in a simple manner, “READ THE BOOK!”. Well I found this little video that shows what kind of people are out there and that their better off buying a toaster! Worst case scenario they burn the toast.
